CHICAGO, March 2, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Scout Services, LLC. announced today that roofing permits processed through its automated service surged in February 2016 to a record monthly level.

“What has traditionally been a very frustrating, manual and time-consuming exercise, can now be an on-line, simplified and automated task,” said Crystal Taylor, Scout Services’ Director of Operations.

Scout has developed an on-line, cloud-based program that enables same-day submittals, payments, proprietary approval tracking and automated permit delivery.

In February, a record number of permits were expedited by the company which reduced the need for contractors to spend their time researching and implementing different procedures for every jurisdiction. Previously, these contractors had to acquire permits on their own, resulting in time and money often wasted due to inefficiencies, incorrect applications and delayed permits.

“We literally take over the process for the contractor so they can concentrate on their core businesses,” added Taylor. “We saw a big surge in volume in February which we attribute to the relatively temperate weather in the mid-west and south as well as a noticeable increase in roofing contractor interest in outsourcing this formally cumbersome and costly process.”

“Based on this recent activity, we are optimistic that we will continue to experience significant growth throughout the year. It is clear that our process adds incredible value to our customers with efficiencies gained for repeat transactions speeding things up even further,” Taylor said.
